Service to Community - Making Connections through OLLI at HSU in 2020

Have you ever considered offering a class for the community through OLLI? Teaching for OLLI offers the opportunity to share your expertise and make direct connections with learners beyond the HSU campus. OLLI at HSU is a vibrant lifelong learning community with over 1300 members in our region. During the winter term, OLLI classes meet one time for 2 ½ hours or a full day from 10:30-4:30 for classroom instruction and activities without assessment or homework. Through the years I've found most faculty have a "favorite lecture" or block of instruction.

Don't buy gift cards!

HSU is continuing to see a high volume of "imposter" emails that claim to be from the University President, a VP, or a Department Chair. These emails NEVER come from the email address of the person they claim to be from - they are usually from throwaway gmail.com addresses.

It can be hard to see the sender's actual email address, as opposed to the display name, particularly on mobile devices; unfortunately, it's all too easy for hackers to spoof display addresses.
