HSU Constitution Day--September 17

The Politics and History departments need YOU for the 3nd annual Constitution Day Quiz Bowl, commemorating the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787. Join a team or participate from the audience as teams of HSU students and faculty, joined by local elementary and high school faculty and students, face off in a battle of Constitution knowledge Tuesday, September 17, at 5:30 p.m. in the Native Forum (BSS 162). There will be prizes for audience and team participation, and Quiz Bowl Champion. Refreshments will be served. Mark your calendar!

Help Wanted: Welcome Home to Humboldt Block Party!

The 3rd annual Welcome Home to Humboldt Block Party is Friday August 30th from 4-7pm on the Events field and we are looking for faculty and staff who would be interested in helping to serve food to our students for one hour shifts during the event.This is a great way to mix and mingle with our students in a fun and informal environment and I hope many of you would like to participate.

Coming September 3: Customer Service Training

The first part of the Customer Service in Higher Education training program will be released in early September and we encourage your participation. You will receive an email announcement on September 3 from a company called SkillSoft with instructions on how to participate in the training. We invite you to show your support for our students and all our customers by joining in this important training initiative. Other activities, including online and in-person forums, where you can continue your learning and begin discussions and share ideas are also in the works.
