Did you receive your 2013 W-2?

The State Controller’s Office (SCO) confirmed today that state-wide, approximately 3,900 W-2’s had not been printed as a result of a printer malfunction.  Although this problem did not directly affect Humboldt State University, if you have not received your 2013 W-2, and you have not had a change of address, please complete the Duplicate Wage and Tax Statement Request, and return it to the HSU Payroll office no later than February 27, 2014 (http://www.sco.ca.gov/Files-PPSD/empinfo_howto_std436.pdf).

You're Invited! Diversity Focus Groups for Staff & Faculty

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion conducts an annual series of Diversity Focus Groups designed to gather qualitative feedback from HSU community members on issues surrounding diversity and inclusion on our campus. Spring 2014 groups will solicit input on these issues from HSU staff, faculty and administrators

Human Resources is pleased to offer the Third Friday series of work­shops which are informal one-hour HR training sessions each month regarding “need to know” information, as well as offering an opportuni­ty to meet other managers and ask human resources/labor relations-related questions.  If you have specific topics of interest, please let Human Resources know.

New Associate Dean for Student Rights & Responsibilities

I am pleased to announce that our new Associate Dean for Student Rights & Responsibilities, Ben Witt, joined our campus community on December 16, 2013. Ben came to HSU from Purdue University, where he served as a Student Affairs Specialist/Title IX Investigator in the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities. Prior to that, he was the Coordinator of Student Conduct at Central Michigan University.   In addition to his contributions to Student Affairs, he brings expertise in the areas of crisis intervention and threat assessment.

CPS Associate Dean Search Open Forum February 7, 2:00-3:00

The College of Professional Studies will be holding open forums to meet the candidates for Associate Dean over the next two weeks with the first this Friday.

Please join us on February 7th from 2:00-3:00 pm in Nelson Hall East room 106 for an open forum with Dr. Lisa Huffman.

We will hold two other open forums for candidates Dr. Mary Glenn on February 11th at 10:45 am in the LIbrary Fishbowl (room 209) and Dr. Kent Becker on February 12th from 2:00-3:00 pm in Nelson Hall East room 106.
