Request Mid-Semester Teaching Feedback

Dear Faculty,

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is very excited to invite you to participate in the Spring Mid-Semester Feedback (MSF) Program.  This valuable opportunity solicits anonymous feedback from students and faculty about their course experience at or around mid-semester. The student feedback process provides opportunity for positive changes that support students' learning.  This incredible discovery process has been shown to improve teaching and student learning, as well as improve higher overall evaluations at end of term (Cohen, 1980; Murray, 2007).

NOTICE RE: TRAVEL

As you know, HSU has been slowing migrating to the Concur Travel & Expense solution which includes your travel request, booking, expense report, and reimbursement in one paperless workflow process. As part of this movement, and effective 10/16/17, the CSU system contracted with a new travel management company (TMC), Christopherson Business Travel (CBT), in preparation for this movement.

Meet the CAHSS Librarian Candidates

The HSU Library is pleased to invite you to meet each of the five candidates for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Librarian position. Each candidate will be presenting a teaching demonstration in the Library and you are invited to attend and provide feedback.

Candidates have been asked to provide an open forum teaching demonstration followed by a Q&A session.

CalFresh Outreach Day

Oh SNAP Student Food Programs is hosting HSU's participation in CalFresh Outreach Day! If you have never heard of CalFresh it is a nutrition program that can help households buy healthy foods. In California, CalFresh used to be known as the Food Stamp Program. Nationally, the program is called SNAP. It is funded by the federal government. CalFresh benefits are issued on an EBT card that works like a debit card and can be used at most grocery stores and many farmers markets to purchase food.
