New CPS Dean - Dr. Manohar Singh

Dear HSU Colleagues,

I am delighted to announce that Dr. Manohar Singh, Professor of Finance at Pennsylvania State University (Abington), has agreed to serve as our next Dean of the College of Professional Studies at HSU. Dr. Singh’s appointment begins July 01, 2017.

Sylvia Shively selected as Controller

Dear HSU Colleagues, I am pleased to announce Sylvia Shively was selected to serve as Controller for the University.

New Executive Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI)

Dear HSU Colleagues,

I am very pleased to announce that Dr. Cheryl Johnson has agreed to serve as the Executive Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI) at HSU. In this role, Dr. Johnson will also serve as the HSU Title IX Coordinator.  Dr. Johnson’s appointment begins July 1, 2017.

Power Down Event Today

The final Power Down event of the year is on Thursday, April 13th.

Green Campus Power Down event has had a positive impact on energy use and GHG emissions of the HSU campus. Since the beginning of Fall 2016 semester and to date, Power Down has saved 12,437.45 (kWh) in electricity, 30,000 (MBtu) in total energy, 3,083,954.03 (g/kWH) in green house gas emissions, 6,798.95 (Ib/kWH) in green house gas emissions, and a total of $1,368 costs.
