We all talk a lot about customer service; we know it is the most important element of creating a successful, thriving business. Your reputation is based on your service quality, yet often times we are just paying lip service. Knowing it and actually doing something to improve it are two different things. You know keeping current customers is cheaper than recruiting new customers.

Ombudsperson Announcement

Open until filled. Application Screening Begins: March 13, 2017

Applications and nominations are being sought for a three-year (Summer 2017 through Summer 2020) appointment of a University Ombudsperson. The vacant position is one of two ombudsperson positions on this campus. It includes 4 WTU's of release time each semester, and current tenured members of the University faculty are eligible to apply. The applicant should not be a member of any university personnel committee. Some summer work is expected, including summer 2017.

Are you ready to dive into Canvas?

As HSU moves closer to the complete migration from Moodle to the Canvas learning management system in Summer 2017, faculty are encouraged to take advantage of one or more of the numerous opportunities to learn how to use Canvas. One of the biggest benefits of Canvas training is peace of mind. HSU Faculty who participated in Fall 2016 Canvas workshops commented that diving into the new LMS relieved their anxiety associated with converting their courses to Canvas.
