Dear HSU Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Edelmira Reynoso will serve as the Interim Executive Director for HSU's Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI). Dr. Reynoso's appointment begins on October 18, 2019.  Dr. Reynoso joined the HSU community on August 6, 2018, as ODEI's Associate Director. 

Edelmira began her career in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion over a decade ago working at the system-level for the State University of New York (SUNY) inaugural Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. As a Diversity Program and Research Associate, Edelmira was responsible for the management of diversity programs and initiatives that provided funding opportunities to students, faculty, and staff throughout the 64-campus SUNY system. Edelmira worked directly with the Vice Chancellor and Chief Diversity Officer along with internal and external colleagues in various capacities to ensure the systemic implementation of the SUNY's Strategic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy – the first of its kind in the country.
