Rep. Jared Huffman to Discuss the Green New Deal and Climate Change Priorities

Arcata, CA - Humboldt State University's College of Professional Studies invites the public to a community conversation with Congressman Jared Huffman to discuss the Green New Deal and climate change priorities from 5:45-6:45 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, in the Native American Forum (Behavioral & Soc. Sciences Building [BSS 162] on Union Street).

North Coast Representative Jared Huffman will discuss the Green New Deal proposal - what it includes, what it doesn't, and how we can take meaningful steps toward addressing climate change and economic inequality. As Vice-Ranking Member of the Natural Resources Committee, Ranking Democrat on the Subcommittee on Water, Power, and Oceans, and Member of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis, Congressman Huffman is a leader on natural resource and climate issues in Congress.  

This event is free to the public. Doors open at 5:15pm - seating is limited and first-come, first-served.
